Exploring Japan

Japan wasn’t on my original list of destinations. It showed up unexpectedly along the way… and as often happens when you let life guide you, the journey turned out to be even more beautiful.

What was meant to be a short detour became a true immersion. I spent a month in a pop-up coliving space in Kotohira, deep in the Japanese countryside — slowing down, embracing a gentler rhythm, and appreciating the contrast with my usual digital nomad lifestyle.

Then I followed a more classic route: Kyoto, Hakone, Tokyo… Each stop brought its own vibe, its own discoveries, and that unique blend of visual beauty and inner peace that only Japan seems to offer.

On this page, I’m sharing my personal insights, practical tips, favorite spots, and a few useful resources to help you travel — or work — in Japan, freely and fully.
